About 20 miles north of Lansing, MI, but still in the middle of nowhere.
;-)  I'm 5-10 minutes from about 3 small towns, though, so it's not too bad,
really.

I've never actually been to NYC, so it would be an interesting (and
hopefully fun) experience.

For those of you who have never lived in Michigan, you really feel cut-off
from many of the other states, except for those on the southern border (of
Michigan).  The quickest way out of the state (for most of us) is Canada.
Otherwise, you have two choices: North or South; and North is generally not
a good choice, unless you're going on vacation.
